Today I'm going to be talking to you guys about a new favourite of mine, the Too Faced Cocoa Contour Kit. I've had my eye on this beauty for a super long time now and last month when I was visiting Brighton with my friend Alysha, she kindly offered to get it for me as a birthday present and I honestly couldn't be happier with it.
I am always slightly sceptical when trying new contour products because of my super fair skin and my current love for the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder. I wanted to try this kit but was worried because I am already completely in love with the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder, I thought I would be disappointed. I was completely wrong...
This products is so versatile and I actually think it's really great for the price (£30). To start, the packaging is lovely and the shades inside smell like chocolate (hence the cocoa name). They're all super pigmented and blend very easily on the skin. Also, the brush that the kit comes with isn't all that bad! Light Cocoa is great to use to set your under eye concealer, it can also be used as a general face powder. It's super light in colour so makes it very brightening on the skin and I've found that there are actually a lot of uses for this matte, pale powder. Medium Cocoa is the perfect contour shade. It is very similar to the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder which of course I am over the moon about. It's very ash toned which is what I look for in a contour shade and I've been using this basically every day since I got it! Moving onto Dark Cocoa which is best used as a bronzer! This powder is pretty orange-y and because of my super pale skin I do find this shade slightly harder to work with. I've been dusting a little onto my cheeks and using it as a bronzer but I just have to make sure I'm very light handed as it's easily overdone! Lastly, we have Pop Of Light which is a highlighter. It's not my favourite highlighter ever, I will say that, but it's not terrible either! It's a pale pink shade which I love, however it's got little flecks of glitter in which stand out quite a bit. I prefer a shimmery highlighter like The Balm's Mary Lou-Manizer rather than highlighters with actual glitter in, but I do often use it and just pop another highlighter on top to intensify.
Have you tried the Too Faced Cocoa Contour Kit? What are your thoughts?
Lots of love x

Medium Cocoa looks like the most perfect contour shade! I definitely opt for a cool, almost grey tone when I contour and this definitely seems ideal. I've only recently tried my first Too Faced products and I'm in a love, so this definitely needs to be added to my wish list. The highlights don't look shimmery enough for me personally, but the bronze shades are definitely up my street.

DeleteI'm in the market for a mew contouring product and this palette seems like the perfect fit. I love that it has 4 different shades and products all in one! I think a trip to Debenhams is in order for me! X
